In 1985 I bought my first mountain bike from my brother Dan. He owned a sports shop in Stowe, Vermont, and sold me one of his rental bikes for $100 - a Giant 'Sedona'. I've been riding ever since. In 1994 a Cancerous tumor was discovered in my brother's brain, and he underwent several surgeries, and massive Chemo. My brother and millions of other Americans are fighting for their lives against Cancer.
August 27th, 2004 my brother (45) lost his 11 year battle against Cancer. He was one of 553,888 people that died from Cancer that year. I ride in my brother Dan's memory, and also for those diagnosed, and are surviving Cancer.
I've dedicated myself to fighting against Cancer by becoming a grass-roots fundraiser. The Livestrong Foundation fights to improve the lives of people who are effected by Cancer. 81% of all funds go directly to supporting programs, and services for survivors.
Please join me in fighting Cancer, and supporting Cancer survivors. 3,500 Americans are diagnosed with Cancer every day - there's no time to waste.
Thank you so much!
